David. Well done. You are genuinely seeing (finding) and applying the VERY premise of "why" iron has been divided into its components with Manticore..... AND allowed to be: individually adjusted/customized. There is MORE TO:
Ferrous Limits - Upper
Ferrous Limits - Lower
....... by virtue of (in concert with) tackling custom iron Notching AND Ferrous Upper (& Lower) settings.

Yet, I STILL MUST COMMEND XP for it's maiden voyage into the World of SMF......with the Deus-2. They have done a fantastic job.
The Manticore is more advanced....... but/because: merely due to Decades (of years) more experience with SMF platforms/technology.

Thanks Tom.
I didn’t mean to ‘pollute’ this thread showing Deus 2 in video.
But.
It might be a good idea I did post here.
So all manufacturers can see this.
Why?
Simple.
Future models may be engineered based off of something witnessed in the video.
I am glad I got to be involved with the Manticore as it was being developed.

I am also glad you got your forum in better working order too.

Hunting higher iron sites.
Some folks may find this video helpful.

NASA Tom.
Greetings.

Below is a video concerning what I believe to be a good idea for update for Manticore.
I would like you to watch the video below.
And for you to evaluate the suggestion for practical application in some detecting venues using Manticore.
If you feel this suggestion is worthy. Please forward to MineLab with any additional thoughts/ideas you have as far as the suggestion.

David,

Your video request poses a software challenge/error and a software code problem.........from an engineering standpoint; YET/BUT....... your point/notion is well received!
((((Your timing is uncanny!))))
We are attacking iron from dozens of different approach-angles....... some of them: New-Slate.

Advanced use video. Can be used to strike both high and low conductors. Ring shaped/coin shaped.
See my comment in video.
ATLC. Is what I show.

David....... it dawned on me that..... (I'm willing to bet) ..... most viewers (((including Manticore owners))) are having a hard time understanding HOW & WHY (especially HOW) you are setting up the Manticore in your custom (iron) Notch range. [[[Kinda because there is a paradox in play]]].

When you were 'generally' showing & explaining the WHY/HOW. , . , . , . , . , . there is a terrible glare on the screen of the Manticore.

I’ll try to do another video inside my barn(more controlled environment). It’s darker in there. Screen with backlight should give good quality video.
Will try and do tomorrow.

Series of videos to be posted here involving Manticore separation/unmasking.

Video #1 - Using ATLC and ATHC with preset upper ferrous limit of 4.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kfz9-tTeZIE

Video #2 - Using ATLC only. Using upper ferrous limits to help expose nonferrous high and lower conductive coins near nails. Iron tone pitch set to max pitch.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Anr7PIzCYts

Video #3 - Using ATLC. Using wire as the culprit limiting possible detection. I do at end of video indeed show running detector using both ATLC and ATHC using upper ferrous limits 4 to try to detect dime inside circular shaped ferrous wire.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HsgHpEtTnmQ

Video #4 - Uncovered and covered hole. Wire and clad dime. Comparing ATLC set up 2 ways. And ATHC.
