Re: Fisher CZ5 question
Hey Skiwiz....... yes! These are my personal data-codes. Bottom line...... in a nutshell: The number/rating of '5'........ is considered/categorized as: "Factory Rated AVERAGE/NOMINAL In your specific case...... your unit is EXTREMELY "Stable"...................................... and...

Re: "UNDER THE IRON CARPET"
That VERSA is presenting some interesting results....... and........ you can fairly easily tell that...... the two coins are REAL detection......and not 'falsing'.
Most of the sites that I hunt....... are ABSOLUTELY LITTERED with iron debris/nails!!!

Re: "UNDER THE IRON CARPET"
I would consider those coin-detection results ... to be: marginal. Different coil sweep-speeds...... along with different coil height........ will present different results. A very good test! Also....... through/because of the video......... I (now) have a better 'visual' understanding of the size, ...

Re: MINELAB MANTICORE: DATA & PERFORMANCE
Chris........ No I did not. I was having difficulty re-ascertaining permissions.
I know the EQX would have performed at approx 60% of the Manticore level(s)...... with its largest hindrance being: formidably greater EMI. This particular site...... has some funky EMI sources.

Re: MINELAB MANTICORE: DATA & PERFORMANCE
I almost did not see your question....... due to it looking purely like a re-post! I had been detecting this area since 1996. I have detected it with the following detectors: CZ-6a CZ-70 CZ-3D 1266X 1236X Shadow X5 T2 F75 The T2 & F75 somewhat opened the doors again......due to the elliptical DD...

Re: "UNDER THE IRON CARPET"
It sounds like you are absolutely in the right direction...... with your Monte Magnum Masking Membrane ........ especially if you are armed with the knowledge that: 2 (or more) nails under the coil......at any given time.....present a substantially greater propensity to: high-tone falsing. More spec...

Re: MINELAB MANTICORE: DATA & PERFORMANCE
There is a TON of this information...... on the old forum. (I believe) it is still accessable through the link(s) ....on the first few pages ....of this exact thread. What 'triggered' me to make this post.....was............. I had found 7 coins..... then 7 more coins........ then yet, 7 MORE coins....

Re: "UNDER THE IRON CARPET"
Although we are continuously working on it........ I do not think that any current-technology detector .... is technologically advanced enough to see through that dense carpet of nails.
I'm also concerned about how many high-tone falses that Monte Magnum test-bed (carpet of nails)..... will produce!
