Can or will you upgrade the existing headphones to the new stereo units for a fee?
No
Phones just bought can't be upgraded. New headphones will have to be purchased to take advantage of the stereo features.

Well I ask XP if a wired stereo headphone set connected to the control unit could take advantage of the new stereo features and the answer was No.
The wired port is mono.
Only the new stereo wireless headphones can take full advantage of V4.0.

You are correct. The frequency shifts absolutely make a difference. I've even noticed a slight increase in the transmit amplitude in some of the shifts. Still I am very pleased with the performance of this machine. Keep up the videos.
