Re: MINELAB MANTICORE: DATA & PERFORMANCE
Nice find. I'm surprised tdi is 1. tdi 1 is in iron range. It's worth digging tdi 1.
Foil is 4. I haven't tried tiny foil.

Your killing it on the gold. M8 is doing an awesome job. It is hot on gold. Harder to hit those broken rings on a lot of detectors.
Can't wait till it warms up here and ground thaws. First place I'm going with my Manticore is a Lake Michigan beach. I'll being be digging those low numbers too. Hope I get some of that gold.

You guys are doing great on gold!
Yes...... most (lost jewelry/gold) ID's a '01' on Manticore. You would NEVER know this ..... with any other platform.......because....... they simply do not detect it. Manticore with M8 coil (and Sens on 30) just barely starts to detect micro-gold..... in a wet-salt environment. First ever...in history.

Working the sea grass,the M8 glides though,without falsing,even though it's hyoer sensitive..
Big earing TID 04 2.25g
Small stude 18K TID 04 O.65g.

Re: MINELAB MANTICORE: DATA & PERFORMANCE
David....... GREAT capture!
Fairly easy to explain.
First....... All Terrain - Low Conductors will be MUCH more resonant/sensitive to that small (low conductive) gold ring.......wherby...... the signal strength to the gold ring may/will be somewhat stronger than the nail.,.,.,.,., especially as you pull the coil away from the nail; yet, still have the coil over the gold ring.
Second.... All Terrain - High Conductors. The signal strength of the Ferrous nail is OVERPOWERING......... dominating the audio output . , . , . , . , . , . , . , . , . , . even though you have a nice strong/solid/high-definition black dot where the gold ring is hitting. In this All Terrain - High Conductors Mode....... the nail is SO much stronger than the gold ring........ due to the lower Freq's of High Conductor Mode......which weakens the signal strength of the gold ring; yet, ALSO increases the detection/strength of the nail.......(a double-whammy!).

So I learned something about Manticore.
Re: MINELAB MANTICORE: DATA & PERFORMANCE
At one point.....we were trying to capture this...audibly.,.,.,.,.,.,., through polyphonics.
