The Vanquish 540 is a great detector. I've owned several, but I prefer the 3 tones of the 440 so that's what I use. Even the 340 has similar, if not the same, performance as the 440 and 540. Don't hunt in iron, so haven't seen it as an issue. Who knows what will happen to the Vanquish series now tha...
